Welcome to Ricks Auto Solutions, founded by me, Rick. Based right here in Barstow, California, my goal is simple: to help car owners like you navigate the world of auto repair with confidence and clarity.

After spending 20+ years working as a professional mechanic. After high school auto shop I attended Universal Technical Institute where I received my ASE certifications for Automotive Repair. I started at the bottom as a tire tech in a small independent repair shop in Sallisaw, OK changing tires and oil on everything from small tractor/mowers to  John Deer/International Harvesters with tires taller than me, to running the service department at a Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge dealership specializing in Drivability Diagnosis, Electronics and Electrical Components. I saw too many people feeling stressed, confused, or overwhelmed by vehicle maintenance and repairs. Whether it was understanding a complicated estimate, finding a reliable shop, or trying to tackle a repair themselves, the process often lacked transparency.

Over the years the most upsetting thing that motivated me to offer my services was my friends and family (that are spread across the country) would call me to find out if a repair estimate they received sounded right. Unfortunately it rarely was legitimate. My motto has always been honesty. Theres no reason to take advantage of people, it’s not difficult to make a living in this industry and be honest and strait forward with customers. I have no sympathy for dishonest mechanics engaging in highway robbery that give us all a bad name.

I started Ricks Auto Solutions to be the solution – your knowledgeable, unbiased guide. My hands-on experience diagnosing and fixing a wide variety of vehicles, combined with my commitment to offering honest no BS solutions, allows me to offer expert insights you can trust.
